Toileting Support
ERIC is the toileting helpline that we work alongside at Horsham Nursery School. We provide resources to help you, including a helpful booklet about toilet training for neurodivergent children (referred to as “children with additional needs”)in the booklet. ERIC’s website, as detailed in the ERIC poster, has further helpful resources.
You will also find the visuals that we use at nursery to support the toileting process. We have these stuck up inside our toilet cubicles. Feel free to print them for home use—simply pick the important steps to keep it simple!

Bob the Bear Series
A local author, Alice Chambers, wrote a beautiful and engaging Bob the Bear series. She is a former Kindergarten manager and teacher, specifically to appeal to pre-schoolers. This book is a fabulous way to engage with young children, inspire them to play, and offers so many opportunities to entertain, educate and explore! With photos that bring the story to life, children will enjoy having it read to them by teachers, carers, parents, and loved ones. Bob the Bear tries to hide in Alice’s garden but is always discovered… and seems to love climbing more than hiding! Please join Bob the Bear on his hiding expeditions and see if you can find him! He is sure to bring smiles and giggles to both little ones and big ones when playing hide-and-seek.
